V10 to 7.3 swap?
I have a 2003 350 super duty with a tired v10 and would like to swap put in a 7.3 powerstroke from a low mile 2003 .... what are the pitfalls of this swap?

None, go for it.
However, as for the technical pitfalls I am not sure. the chassis should be the same so I would think it would accept the 7.3; motor mounts and all. If you have a Chiltons or Haynes manual for the truck it should cover gas and diesel and give you a good idea. If there was a snag I doubt it is nothing you can't get around. All it takes is time and money; no necessarily in that order. Good luck! |

You're basically gonna need a donor truck. The fuel tank, fuel pump, transmission, wiring harnesses, mounts, instrument cluster, radiators, intercooler, and pcm will all have to be swapped over. And I'm probably missing a few more things.
