Change those filters!!

I decided to put 20k miles on this fuel filter just to see if it made a difference. Well, hadnt noticed anything different till I put the new one in today. BAM!!! My bottom end is back along with my normal smoke at wot. I had slowly lost bottom end, and smoke, but didnt notice it cause it happened over a long period. So, Get those fuel filters changed. It WILL make a difference!!

Are you still using the factory cap and filter or have you gone aftermarket yet?

I still get just the filter and use the factory cap. Are after markets any better?

I've had an aftermarket on my truck since I got it.

I recently replaced my fuel filter and it ran worse. I took it out and put another brand in and it ran better... so maybe there's a quality issue with some of the aftermarket ones... just wondering if our experiences were similar.

I seem to remember 10-15k being a good target, so I set out to change mine once a year. That would work out about right for me, but I drove a bunch of extra miles this year(25kplus), and just hadnt thought about it. My planned change would be in January, but I didnt make it.
