New power steering pump ...Now very weak brakes?!?!?
I just replaced my power steering pump and all of the lines. I refilled the system with fresh fluid. I took it for a spin to bleed the air out of the system. I turned the wheel from end to end multiple times to make sure I got out any air. I re-checked the fluid level afterwords. After all of this I still have very weak brakes. From 20MPH it takes me a good 40-50 feet to stop. And when I hit the brakes it makes a louder than normal whine. Not sure what the problem is or what the solution is....Does anyone have any clue what the problem is?? I sure would appreciate your help...Thanks!

Yes, I used ATF. Amsoil synthetic to be exact. I just took it for another spin too... Power steering works great...breaks are still very bad. One thing I discovered was that when I apply the brakes while turning, the brakes engage and are strong like they are supposed to be. So the problem is between the power steering pump and the hydroboost???
