found a early 99 fr good price

well im looking to buy a early 99 at a good price that im looking to spend. but i want to mod it out. and i have read that they are harder to find parts for is this true???

the truck is really super clean with 180,000mi on it.

should i get this truck or should i find a late 99 and up to buy if i want to mod it????

ok lets hear the good price please. 180k isnt exactly low, but isnt high either. For instance my truck 99 Lariat F350 SuperCab 4x4 100k miles was 12k. Now tell us your dirtly little $ secret so we can give you solid advise.

Mod it out?.....explain mod it out please.

The early SD's have forged rods which helps them stay together when making big power.

There is nothing harder to get parts for in regards to the early and late trucks unless its direct upgraded turbo fitment you're looking for.

Early 99 is just as awesome as the others. They respond very well to mods. As far as the direct turbo replacement comment... Look at the d66 drop in replacement.

i know it has forged rods and that the stopped forged rods in early 01 i think.

y is the turbo fitment different??? i would like to do turbo, exhaust, mild injectors, intake, chip, Tourqe convertor, 4in lift, 34's, gauges, HPOP, Head studs, ans other misc stuff.

There are differences. Do a search for early 99, there are many threads discussing the differences.

All the mods you listed will work great on a early build.
