For anyone wanting to do this mod, it's well worth it!
Mine is not as pretty as nc1500's but it is just as effective and you can do it for about $30
BTW nc1500, congrats it looks great. Are you happy you did it?

Yeah, other than the amount spent getting there. I rationaliize my decision by thinking I have a custom piece no-one else seems to have (for good reason.) Oh, well, if no-one piad the extorsionist prices dealers wanted for new vehicles most of us wouldn't have gotten them for the good deals we did. There always has to be a first.
Being a 3.5" it makes some strange, mellow sounds that I'm sure you open 4 and 5" guys don't get. Even at WOT it's not too loud but it can make evil surging noises if the turbo starts on that path (levels 4 and 5, happens a lot. Anything below, good to go). Nearly as quiet (relative term) with/without muffler at idle, not much louder at freeway. Sounds neat actually hearing the turbo spool when driving through tunnels, around buildings, etc. People will stop half a block away to see where it's comming from. And, there's the beloved smoke!!! I can't believe how quickly tailgators become defensive drivers when they see that thick cloud pouring down on them (works great for dimwitted pedestrians, also).
Hornet, I used both the overhead and hand calc method. I actually got higher than posted but wasn't 100% due to the variances on filling a stock tank (standing there all day just to get another gallon in) I actually went with the lower of my figures, just to be safe. This last fill was terrible though, less than 16 (lots of city).
