Theres a dude in town that just got like a 03 Chevy duracrap. Its got the 6.6l diesel in it I believe. Anyways he said he could yank my psd all around. My trannys got 250k on it so im worried that if I pull him the tranny will go and I cant afford it! What do yall think. Its a 2500 4x4 stock.

Man I wish I had it chipped and it had -150k on it and the tranny was built up. Id make that boy cry

The big question is this. What performance Mods does his truck have. Yours is pretty much stock. I would have to say don't risk it. Most likely he will win. I am sorry to say that. The other big things are tires, who ever has the best traction will win.

Now if he was talking about the track heads up 1/4 mile run or something like that. Then I would say to go for it.

Use common sense and use your truck for what it was meant to be used for. If you want to get in a pullin contest then build a truck for that purpose, otherwise tip your hat and head down the rode.

Yeah, I second it. You're stock (maybe low 200hp if you got a good one; his maybe 300+ at the wheels stock, 400+ modified). You've got the 4R100, he's got a faster and smoother Allison (alhtough you may luck out after he blows the tranny on a hard launch). You'll definetly eat crow if you try, off road or otherwise. Go with a Jody's tune or Tony Wildmans for some real punch, a nice 4" (no muffler), upgraded torque convertor and valve body, gauges and some grippy street tires. THEN go find this Chevrosuzu punk and make him eat smoke!

Thats what a buncha my friends and dad said about it. I aint got the money to fix nothing if it breaks. Its getting a buncha miles on it and doesnt need to be under that strain neway. Sucks tho I sure would like to show that dude what a real truck is. His truck...to my knowledge and other townfolk...is stock. It seems to have a leveling kit on it but has like stock street radials.

Sucks that the chevy is pushin 300+ stock.

I know a friend in town has one that they use to pull watermelons to the market and the truck is pretty fast. Wonder what the outcome would be of him hooking up to a 05 or 06 cant remember Cummins would be
