Questions before purchase

So im lookin at buyin my first powerstroke after my cummins got totalled. The truck is an 02 350 crew cab long bed lariat with 183,000 on the clock. What I was wondering is there any little problems related to the 7.3s i should look for? i checked blowby and all fluids look good no leaks and tranny fluid doesnt smell burnt and looks pretty fresh. Any thing else i should check?

Not really on these trucks. The weakest link is the auto tranny so just make sure it works in all gears, doesn't slip etc. You can look in the engine valley and see if anything is leaking down there. Usually fuel but that can be an easy fix with some orings.

Yea it seems like thats the case with most diesels stock auto trannys not bein able to handle the power. but i checked the fluid and on the test drive it shifted great. and there was no leaks of any kind any where on the truck and its completely stock never had a programmer or anything so its lookin good and the price is great
