You would have to show me the facts on a dyno. I have two units and have advanced the mods one at a time. The 4" no cat no muffler is quieter, more powerful and sounds better than the modified 3 1/2 system. I also have had my own truck fleet for 30 years and have never seen a diesel that responds to backpressure. The valve timing is much different from a gasser. The faster you can let the gases expand away from the turbo the better. Reduces EGT's and quickens spool up. Like any engine though, the more you crank up the power, the more exhaust you need to get rid of.

If you have the latest flash on your truck the 6.0 has to have a little backpressure! Thats just what the ford place told me! They said the 7.3 it doesnt matter bout back pressure b/c they dont have a EGR so thats just what i heard.Heck if you dont wanna blow 400 dollars you can just put a straight pipe on your stock system but the mandrel bend makes everyting flow so much better!

I wonder if thats the same tech that told me the oil in the intake from the CCV was there to lube the turbo!! I feel the correct info is available to the dealerships. So of the problem also is the mechanics following a strict repair program designed by Ford. Not all problems fit into there book. An example would be a CPS failure. I have a driver that just went through this. No code was found and everything else was fine. The shop found or made up $800.00 worth of repairs. The truck went about 7mi and died again. Familiar story, Ive been there.
