just do the stright pipe on the stock pipe! I have had on one of 7.3 and also had a 4 inch pipe! The four inch is good bit louder but the 3.5 stright pipe has some tone but not too loud to get annoying! Definately the the stock stright pipe is cheapest and sounds the best

I had my stroker straight piped for a little while before I bought my Magnaflow. I cut it off just before the cat and threw a turndown on it. One night I swapped cars with my buddy and driving his car next to my truck in his mustang as he got on it was pretty freakin' cool....... But I really did like the nice toned down throaty sound of my Magnaflow once I put it on.

LOL @Bill! As a mod, i've pretty much looked at how the word is used instead of just editing the word altogether. The english language is nuts, with one word having about 32 different meanings and ways you can use it. Calling something "badass" vs calling someone an "@$$" is very different and the latter would call for moderation in my eyes. This day in age "bad" words your mother slapped you for growing up are used pretty casually in TV, regular magazines not just the ones on the top shelves, and i've began to see them pop up in the daily newspaper. I really don't care, to me some of them are harmless words that don't really mean anything bad at all....like the a-word.....slang for a butt! How is that bad? And the s-word.....slang for what comes out of it.....only thing bad about that is when it hits your nose! LOL

i have the 6.0 and i have straight pipe and it sounds good. I am looking into going to a larger size but it gave me a nice tone without dropping $400-$500 the day after I spent $40,000.00 to get it home. When I am on my truck hard the tone in very nice if I am in a nice residential neighborhood I can take it easy and noone hears anything. Banks systems do sound very good a friend of mine has the full banks system and there is a noticealbe difference. Good luck in your choice!

Full Banks system as in full banks exhaust? What is the difference you notice, his sound vs your straight pipe?

Yeah, pretty much all 4" kits are going to sound the same muffled or not. It's just how much you wanna spend. If you take the cat out it will suck out most if not all of the backside turbo whistle you'd normally hear through the pipe.

Someone here said on the 6.0 you need some back pressure...like remove the cat but leave a muffler for that amount of back pressure. Is that not the case?
I also have a 6.0 and i just want to make sure of this before i do my exhaust mod. I was planning on the 4" TB and no cat with maybe the magnaflow muffler.
Is this really that different than no muffler for the 6.0?

You say yes, and others have said no. I think i'll use the uffler and no cat....just to be on the safe side as far as the back pressure.
Thanks
