Transmission Filter - When to replace?

My 02 excursion has 60k miles on it and has never been used for towing - I'm going to be replacing the tranny fluid here shortly and wondered if the filter needs to be replaced or not.

You should replace the fluid and filter every 30,000 miles. You should also do a trans flush prior to a filter and fluid change.
