yeah i mean if you run a larger size stack than your exhaust it will not get as hot like 4" exhaust to 6" stacks it would not be as hot so now if you make that rubber join the cover within a 1" from the stack yeah i would watch it but when i did it i made it at leat 3" away from the stack so its got room to air cool but its your truck i thought it looked sweet when i did it to the tool box on a friends truck so i imagine it would look pretty dern good through a bed cover too

You can pull off stacks outside the bed on duallys. It's hard to make it look right but I've seen it before and it does look good.
