The fuel has plenty of lubricants in it...I wouldn't run the risk of screwing up your injectors IMO.

With DP tuning, I wouldn't think you'd be asking for smoke/power?

Is he a real diesel mechanic or did he sleep in the Holiday Inn Express last night?
The pre 99 PSD's were a totally different animal and unfortunately many of the practices that worked well on those trucks have leached into the 99 and up trucks. Our injectors are very sensitive to junk like this. The rumor about the new fuel not having enough lubricant is bogus, but if you are worried add some Powerservice to each tank, that is what I use, but don't be adding motor oil, tranny fluid, Kerosene or anything else that somebody tells you too. You trucks injectors will thank you for it!!
If you want smoke ask Jody for his smoke tune, you'll get smoke!!! I am running his 120 race and she smokes like a freight train!!

after that phone call let us all know what shop he works at so we dont take our trucks there.........over and above the bad things you can do to pumps and injectors from doing that why would you want to make your truck smoke simply to smoke its one thing if its smoking cause its got power and your foots on the floor but for it to just smoke driving thru a parking lot that just creates more librals and enviornmentalists to cry for more emisions laws just my 2 pennies
