Oil pressure

I'm haven't had any problems all day came out started it it comes up low on the gauge with a light then goes up to the has way in about 2 or three mins and.turns off any ideas? I have been having a leak from the drain plug

2000 f250 7.3 ts 6 pos straight piped 6 speed

yeah i was 2qts low filler up and was good... i have a slow leak at the drainbolt gasket thank you!

it was about 26 degrees this morning started my truck took forever to get oil pressure never noticed that before shut it off started again fine any ideas?

Have you tried replacing the oil pressure switch?

No I haven't just got thus truck where is it located and how much is a new one?

It is on the HPOP reservoir. They are around $20.
