Tranny is shifting HARD!

So the other night I decided to mess around and do a 4wd launch because I haven't done one yet since I've gotten the DP, just 2WD. I waited till the hubs locked up and started to build up boost and then launched. I took off like a bat out of hell but then I noticed I was near redline and haven't changed gears yet. When it did change gears, it felt like I was rear-ended!! It also shifts hard when I drive around normally in econo 80 hp. At first i thought the tranny had to learn the tunes but its been almost 2 months and its still the same. You think I should get my tunes reflashed or something? I don't want to add to the tranny cause i'm planning on dropping a new one later from BTS.

My truck does the same thing sometimes. I am trying to find a good place in Austin to change fluids due to I dont have TC drain plug so I want to have it flushed but I am hoping that fixes problem because I only have 30,000 miles on this rebuild

Yeah the hard shifting is gone with the stock tune. I had the fluids changed about 6k miles ago so I thikn its the tunes. You can really feel it when I just floor it and feel a slight bump when i'm just cruising.

With the hard shifting going away when placed back on stock, I'd have to agree with you that it would more than likely be the tunes. Have you tried any other tuners to see if you get the same response out of the tranny?

before the dp, i had the hypertech and i always ran it on stg 3 but the tranny never shifted hard even when i floored it. I think the tranny maybe slipping but I don't know what that would feel like...

Same here on the edge juice. stages 1-3 are fine 4 is a little hard and 5 feels like you will need to call a tow truck. It about rocks my teeth loose unless I roll into it. Romping on the pedal causes the slamming.

Let not forget your sending more than 100 HP through the tranny that it wasn't planning on having either.
