Is my TC going?

Well of course when I am pretty much out of money my truck starts to act up. At just a little under 50mph, if my tc is locked up in overdrive my truck starts to shutter. I didn't notice this in 3rd but I didn't try it. The motor doesn't miss or anything, I am almost positive that isn't it. The tranny doesn't slip, I pulled a trailer about 300miles yesterday without a problem. What could this be? Should I just start saving to build the tranny?

This was the first sign that my tranny was about to lose 4th. When really getting into it to get onto the interstate right around 48-55 mph is where I really had trouble. If I backed off and then re-started my acceleration I could work past the problem "speed." About a week later I lost 4th all together. 1-3 worked without any problems and I could run right up to 68 mph until the truck went searching for a non-existant 4th gear.

Has your O/D light flashed at all?

No my OD light didn't flash. I am thinking about just having the whole thing rebuilt with the alto red rebuild kit, triple disc converter, and a shift kit. What all did you have to get done to yours?

I just had a full rebuild done and the TC replaced. It was an expensive fix!
