I just got my pyro working and when i have it in race mode on the edge, it will climb to about 1000 degrees when i really get on it hard. Is that normal in that mode? It ran about 600 degrees just cruisin down the road. If thats too high then how can i bring it down. I switched it to tow mode for tomorrow so i will see if that'll drop the temps when i get on it hard. It didn't seem to go much over 1000 but it got there quick. Any help would be great

I would say at 1000 you are fine I have my alarm set at 1250 so at 1000 your fine, to lower your egt's you can get a exhaust, water meth injection those will both help, but I would start with a 4" exhaust 600 is fine for driveing around

i have a stock 96er, i can hit 1100 fairly easy. 65mph i hit about 700degrees. so, i would say you are running about normal.

Those are pretty good temps Dan. a cold air intake will bring them down some. but at those temps i would not be worried

Whe I had the Evo. I usually ran 1000-1100 at WOT in race mode and hit 1350 in the EXT. at almost WOT. and all the modes I was about 500 while cruising down the freeway.

my 08 hits 1400 very easy with a load, I have seen it go as high as 1600 when its in regen cycle, but as soon as it goes over 1600 the ecm will shut the truck down and reduce power until it drop below 1000 but at 68 mph cruise on flat ground loaded it averages around 900-1100
