A beeping I have never heard before?

Well I started up the rig this morning and as I was driving down the street i heard a Beep, Beep ........... Beep, Beep and I have never heard the tone before. So I stoped and looked over the dash and noticed that my airbag light was out, now this light has always been on for the year I have owned the truck. The beeping goes away after a couple minutes and only comes back on start up, any ideas on how to stop it and what it means?

nice, that means the light will stay gone, now I wonder how long it will take for the noise to burn out...

Its just like a CEL have someone scan it and fined out what it says.If someone worked on the truck before they may have broke the airbag strap in steering column.

the beeping is more annoying than the light.... the only way to fix this is probably to fix the airbag? I dont really care about the air bag because I have always been under the impression that its expensive and to get it scaned at ford its 150 bucks..

I have that annoying beep comes on when I first get I'm truck them after driving I hear it once in awhile. But when I bought the truck column had issues mainly the shift tube was broke and so was shifter cable that's all fixed now but how do I figure out if the air bag strap is broke? Where is it what does it look like.

More than likely it's the "clock spring" causing the airbag code, which in turn caused the airbag light, which in turn now that the bulb is burnt out causes the beeping.

It's about an $80 part, and not hard to replace. Just requires removing the airbag assembly to get access to it.
