ebpv and cat?

i had read about the DIY exhaust brake using the EBPV. when we picked up our (late 99) 7.3 a few months ago, it didn't have one.

also, i noticed when i replaced the exhaust, there wasn't a catalytic converter.

it doesn't really matter, now that i did a turbo back exhaust, just curious.

The cats on the early superduties were kinda sporadic. some had them some didnt.

as for the ebpv I think every truck had them unless it was a special order with a "hot climate" package or something like that. I'm willing to bet if your truck doesnt have one it is because the previous owner deleted it.
