they'd probably charge that much to change the o-rings that come with the fuel filter.

Yeh, so to help you with this, tell us exactly what is wrong and what the dealer said it was.

I'm sure we can come up with a writeup or a how-to type thing to avert paying 800 bones for some O-rings. I had an HPOP Oring blow out on me and the ford dealer told me it would be at least 600 bucks to repair. I got their "kit" for $27 bucks and repaired it myself. Afterwards, I found I could have gone to any hydraulic shop and gotten the Orings for $0.25 each and some locktite for about 3 bucks.

I'm sure we can assist in lowering your expenses

Orings fixed forf $122.00

After the Ford dealership gave me that crazy $800 quote. I went to a small local mechanic. He knew immediately what the problem was. He charged me $122.00 to replace my valve intake orings.

On the 6.0 you wouldnt have been able to do this unless you have a tall shop and a hoist t o lift off the cab!

That is a very reasonable price. Glad to hear you found someone to take care of you. If you were like me, i would go to the dealership GM or Owner if its a smaller store and raise havok over this....see what they have to say for themselves, but im a trouble maker too....

As many of you know i work at a dealer and it makes me mad to no end to hear of the price gouging that the few do to make the many look so bad
