What to do for affordable RR/ fuel system

I have a 00 with 14500 miles, built auto, cold air intake, newly installed 4 inch exhaust, and Edge EVO set on the low tow safe setting until I install my gauges. I have recently noticed a VERY slight knock sound at idle, only when up to full operating temp. and goes away after ~1500 rpm~. i have had a trusted psd tech look at it and run scans and he says he cant hear it but if it were anything he thinks it would be the number 8 cyl. starving. My question is can i get by with something like the FRx from riff raff diesel. Will this sufficiently fix the dead head issue or would it be a waste of money? I have done some research and I thought it looked decent for the price. I have future plans for higher HP but I am on a budget. Thanks for the input.

i just built my own RR fuel system. pretty straight forward... took a bit to get all the parts together when piecing it out but doable.

Yes. Frx will work. Maybe want more when you go to bigger sticks. It does the same thing as rr, just not as accurate due to a spring determining pressure(same as stock).

Yes it would be until i go with bigger sticks. Since it comes with different springs for different psi, What psi do you guys recommend and will psi have an effect on Mileage?

They recommend which one to use(gold i think).

Get a real RR and fuel bowl delete...don't go cheap when it come to providing clean fuel.

I agree rr is the best bet but how is it "going cheap"? It is basically still factory setup

Exactly, I just want to upgrade and protect the injectors with whats there already. I plan to do everything when I do sticks. I am just on a very tight budget right now

Also, gomer, did you notice any difference in perf. or mileage when you installed yours?
