Speedometer and Gauge Problems

Im working the last few kinks out of my truck and gauges are next. Currently the speedometer and odometer do not work. Not sure if there electronic or cable. Im assuming cable since the odometer if not the electronic version. Is it a lot of work replacing the cable? Also my fuel gauge is always reading full. Sometimes it moves but then goes back to full. Could the float on the sending unit be stuck? Electrical related?

That happened to my truck around the time I bought it. There is a sensor on the top of the rear differential, try looking at that and see if it looks bad. I replaced mine and it fixed my problem.
