Bottom of door weather stripping

As we all know this was a poor design and over time they sag. Has anybody replaced them or just remove them?

I just order a new one from ford for the drivers door. It was 28 bucks or so. I would replace it because it keeps water from laying in the lip where your door skin is folded over on the inside.

Don't run without them. EVRYTHING that comes off the tire ends up in the door jamb, door sill panel and in and around the inner door seal. Ask how I know . . .

They're surprisingly cheap from Ford.

Check for any rust or corrosion starting around this location and nip it in the bud while youre changing it out. Was curious one day so I took mine off all the way around and did a little sand/paint job since it was just starting to get bad.

Oh yeah its a small platic-like screw that pops back in. If you happen to damage them upon removal, any auto store should have replacements in stock for a couple bucks in a pack of like 10 or 20.

My plastic clips are always breaking and the rubber hangs down. I've bought the clips at ford and they are pricey. I'm going to try rivet nuts on the first hole. Silicon lube if your in colder climates to prevent it from freezing to cab and pulling out.

Can someone take a picture of the lower weather stripping? I think the PO may have removed mine.
