First, anytime you want to know about a DTC Code, try Google! If you add something like "Ford 7.3", it will take you to many forums with Lots of info..
Did you add a boost pressure sensor and replace the AIH with a tapped plug by any chance? If so, that would account for the 541. If not, nothing to worry about anyway you don't actually need the AIH ![]() The 1316 would concern me though. What the 1316 does, is to tell you that the IDM has codes it wants to tell you about. To resolve IDM codes you need to do a Buzz Test. If everything runs OK, you could reset the SES (even a cheap scanner should do this, you'll need something better to do the test and query the IDM) and see if it reappears. Could be a fluke, Could be giving you an early heads-up on a real problem (most commonly a UVCH connection) |

Sorry, the UVCH is the UnderValveCoverHarness connections to the Injectors and Glow Plugs. A faulty design where they, over time & vibration, can unplug themselves (you'd know if it were unplugged because the engine runs on only 4clys). As they fail, they become intermittent though and might be what's setting the 1316. Buzz & resolving will tell you why the 1316 came up...
The EBPV wouldn't set either of those codes. They would be in the 470-478 range. |
