Under Hood Insulation

Has anyone gotten rid of the under hood insulation and replaced it with something else? Have any pictures?

I messed mine up with a pressure washer and it drives me nuts every time I open the hood or think about it. I was thinking about some kind of sound absorbing material or cutting out some pieces of aluminum for the flat areas and having them powder coated to match my IC Pipes.

the painted metal stuff would look cool but i dont know if your like me and think the more noise the better because that would have alot of noise

Same thing messed mine up with the pressure washer so I just pulled it all out

you can get a new replacement for about $120 American.

I removed mine as soon as I bought my truck so I don't recal if it is louder between my intake, foil delete and exhaust she is loud already

Pulled mine off a few months back looking for more noise. No difference at all. Found a mouse nest between that and the hood though! My truck sits a lot

It's just a dirt collector so I always remove mine from all vehicles.

Yea me to I always remove them because I pressure was under my hood everytime I wash my vehicles
