&.3 oil filter?

Kinda new to this type of thing. Just wanting to know if there are good or bad oil filters out ? And what should i use on my pickup. Thanks for any input.

Hey George! Great to have you here at PowerStroke.org! I'm not aware of any "bad" oil filters on the market. I run Motorcraft and they being a name brand I can't imagine there being a problem with them.

i use purolator oil filters, motorcraft and carquest brand are also good

Motorcraft isn't motorcrap for sure...

I've used motorcraft, i've been told by a few ford mechanics that it's the best one for the powerstroke...

I run the Motorcraft FL1995 on my 96, with 15-40 Rotella T, havent had any issues.

oil filters

I got started using the K&N oil filters after a diesel shop told me about them. I like 'em 'cause they have a nut on the bottom that makes it easy to take off & on. Supposedly they have better filtration & a thicker casing.
