Replacement injector

So basically think I need a new # 8 injector. Ford wants over 300 for one with the core. I definitely want new, not remanufactured. Is this my best option or are there cheaper options out there?

Are you sure you need that injector? It's been mentioned a zillion times here that the #8 injector doesn't get the full charge of oil that the rest of them do. There's a crossover oil line that you can install that helps this. Heck of a lot cheaper than an injector and it's probably what your problem actually is.

#8 can fail tests but be fine.

I have performed all the aforementioned suggestions but my #8 still throws a code. However my truck runs fine.

P0608. I randomly get SES due to #8 misfire. When I run the CCT it fails on 8.

Well this all stems from a thread I started a while back with a problem my truck was having dropping in RPM when coming to a stop. I've had a buddy run a scanner on it and everything came back fine except for #8 failing the cylinder contribution test. I don't see how this could be a CPS issue since the truck runs fine otherwise. This is a thread too with a guy having the exact same issue as mine. TC Unlock RPM Dip
