Replacement high torque starter?

I am looking for a replacement starter that will turn my 7.3 over a little faster.
The issue I am having involves my remote start. Sometimes the truck will not fire within the remote starter crank time of about 2.5 seconds. I have the longest cranking setting selected.
What options are out there and how reliable are they?

what remote start do u hav ? If you had it installed by , take it back and ask them to take teh timer off and wire it to teh tach wire so the unit knows how long to crank and start it every time. Sorry if i dnt make sense.

I have a high torque starter. It just cranks faster but does not fire up any sooner than it did with the stock starter.

Exactly. It should run off the tach. Temperatures affect the start time so a set time is no good. Unless u live in a place where the temp is always the same.
