4speed automatic 2002 F350 7.3 diesel

I am looking for a truck to haul horse trailer. Is a 4 speed ok for this? My trailer has GVWR of 14,000 lbs.

Yea, it'd be ok. Biggest thing is to make sure it stays cool. Get a trans temp gauge.
A valve body will help hold things together and create less heat shifting. Proper, regular maintenance is always key. I would also add an external trans filter, but that's just me.
