From 6-8 inch back to stock

Looking at a 1999 4x4 crew cab with 287k mi, brakes, master cylinder, radiator, alternator, turbo, new serp belt and newer driveline. It has way more lift then what I want since I dont want to flip the springs on my travel trailer. I would want to pull off the 6 to 8 inch lift (not sure which), what would that entail? He wants $6k for the truck and thats the only reason why I'm even entertaining it.

Sorry took so long guys, holiday and all. I decided not to get the truck and just wait til I find what I really want. Did that with a Harley once and swore I would never do it again.
