7.3 problems
I have a 2001 ford f-550 and after the engine has warmed up to operating temp. 15-20 of running time. the engine starts acting like its missing and starts loosing power and when you try to give it the fuel petal it only acts like its missing more and the rpm's wont raise and it also starts blowing white raw fuel smoke out the tail pipe.. this problem started all of a sudden. also when i plug my computer into the truck during the problem accuring it shows no codes. Any comments?

Hook the computer up to the truck prior to starting. Start the truck up and run a cylinder contribution test. You have a dead cylinder. It could either be bad compression or a bad injector.
A cylinder contribution test will point you to the cylinder that is not operating properly. Also with the key on engine off you can run an injector buzz test. This will tell you if all the injectors are getting electrical signal to fire that injector. From that point you can also check the ICP pressure to see if the HPOP is putting out enough oil pressure for the injectors. lastly you will need to pull the glow plugs one by one and do a cylinder compression test. You will need the proper adapter for the compression test gauge for the ford 7.3L powerstroke. |

What program are you using to scan?So when cold it runs ok, just weak since it's cold? Does the smoke smell like unburnt diesel? |

the engines runs perfect when cold or under running temp. yes the smoke smells like raw fuel, but it only smokes when you try to accelerate it while its missing.

That sounds like an injector to me.
Maybe you have a loose under valve cover harness |
