thinking of 03 7.3??

Hey guys, new here. Have been a duramax person but just sold the 06 and thinking about a ford but dont want any of the newer ones. What would you guys think of this truck, new to fords and know very little. Thanks!

It is a 03 ccsb lariat with 270 000KM(167 000 Miles)

last of the 7.3L, crew cab, runs good, bigger injectors, adrenaline oil pump, sinister regulated fuel system, 4" MBRP exhaust, AFE intake, edge attitude chip, 2" leveling kit, air bags, 35" tires on 17" rims and new stock size tires on the stock rims. Apparently the front end has been rebuilt within the last 15 000km.

Sounds pretty cool. I wonder if the tranny has been done yet.
These trucks need a beefed up tranny to handle the extra power.

Owner said it hasnt been, apparently shifts smooth empty or loaded. Someone told me that without upgraded turbo or intercooler egts would have been high and it might have cracked pistions..this true? Thanks

Ah suppose it could, but I wouldn't think so unless the owner was reckless. I personally stay away from anything that someone has already hot rodded if I can. That's because I know how I drive things I have hot rodded...

With a rig like that, knowing it did a bunch of towing and has bigger injectors, etc I would have it looked over/compression test, etc before dropping that kind of money on it. And the transmission is a valid issue too.
