Replaced starter AGIAN!!!

Im on my 4th starter this year. Went to my truck last week and got some clicking and knew what it was tried the key 2 more times and it worked. Had no issues the rest of the day till i drove downtown for grocerys, got back in it and it wouldnt start just click click. Tried tapping it still nothing so that ment I burnt up another starter, luckly was able to get a new one since this was still under warrenty. You guys have any ideas why this is happening? Id rather not be crawling around under my truck with snow on the ground and have to find a ride home from college to get my new starter every time this happens.

Sounds like something is making them go bad. You need to figure out if there is a short to the starter or not. Also I have mine to an advance auto one and have not had problems.

Anything dripping on it? I had 1 go bad on my old truck because of a valve cover leak. Check the everything leading to the starter. Sounds like something is cause them to fail, not just the brand of it.
