Production numbers, are some trucks really rare ?
Is there a site or a source that lists how many SD's were made in each chassis config and then further broke down by options ?
Reason I ask is because the truck I bought last fall seems to be an anomaly at least around here in Wisconsin. 2001 SRW CCSB Lariat with manual shift transfer case and zf6. I have only seen 1 other like mine, is this combo really that rare ? If had ordered this truck new in 01, this is exactly how I would have ordered it. I am a die hard fan of the handshaker, out of all the vehicles I have owned 10 of my 12 have been hand shakers. TIA F&F Last edited by Flash and Flare; 11-02-2012 at 07:13 PM. |

You can get a break down. For example, I have a report on one of my 5.0s showing it is 1 of 19 build in its configuration. 93, notchback, 5.0, coral reef blue, black int, 5-speed, every option possible besides auto (thank god).
I forget who did it. Now I know like 60-70 cars have a Marti Report. |

Manual transfer cases in these trucks are nowhere near as common as the electronic shift option. Especially with a standard tranny.
I saw one out of all the trucks I looked at, except it was an ECSB, not the crew cab. I probably would've bought it too, except it was a plow truck and had bedliner on the frame and rockers. I really didn't want to drive 300 miles to look at it and just find out it was half rusted out. Would've made a great farm truck though, 1 ton, 2 sticks through the vinyl floor....and it was still an XLT...with only 82k on the ticker |

Mine is a Texas truck, zero rust
Its Dark Highland green with Harvest gold on the bottom, with either Medium Parchment or Prairie tan interior. Last edited by Flash and Flare; 11-02-2012 at 09:07 PM. |

The manual transfer case would be the more rare part, I have seen a few lariats ccsb with a zf6. A lot of the super duties are lariat trim, the zf6 isn't uncommon. But a lariat with manual both would be a little rarer.

Lariat with a manual shifter? Odd. Sure it didn't start life as an XLT?

Here is a picture of my door tag. My buddy also has a 01 CCSB Lariat with a manual transfer case, but his is a automatic transmission. Last edited by Flash and Flare; 11-03-2012 at 06:49 AM. |
