what is this hose?

when i first start the truck after sitting a while, i notice a liquid dripping from this hose. it feels like water but has a hint of diesel fuel smell.

it is the clear hose in the picture, it runs in front of the engine crossmember (on the passenger side)

looks like the fuel drain hose coming off the fuel filter bowl.
your orings for the drain (yellow tab) may be leaking a little. easy to fix.
