California 7.3???
So what are the differences in a California 2001 vs any other 2000 7.3?? There is a little bit of info out there that i can find.. They have a GPCM instead of a relay, that is the only solid concrete difference i can find. Anyone know for sure>? Are they better, the same as others or what?

Better in that you know what glow plug isn't working, worse in that the GPCM cost more to replace than a relay. You will have a some different stickers, otherwise they are the same. Cats were still a hit or miss. Now if you had a 96-97 CA, you would have larger injectors and more fuel pressure.

From what I have seen all OBS trucks had a cat, it was the SD's that were hit or miss.

There are VERY few differences. The GPCM/GPR is the main difference. There is also a different glow plug timetable on the CA models. Other than that, nothing.
