1999 F350 QUESTIONS NEED HELP

I HAVE A BASICALY STOCK F350 THAT IS A 7.3 PSD WITH A 6 SPEED WHICH I HAVE FORSALE. I AM GOING TO PUT A BUILT C6 BEHIND THE 7.3 PSD. FIRST OF ALL I HAVE NEVER MESSED WITH DIESELS BUT HAVE HAD 5 SECOND MUSTANGS SO I AM MECHANICALY INCLINED. I HAVE SEEN THESE TRUCK RUN AN I AM VERY IMPRESSED. I WANT TO MAKE MINE RUN FASTER AND WONDERING WHY MY BOOST DOES NOT START COMING IN TILL ABOUT 2500 TO 3000 AND REDLINE IS AT 3400. PLEASE ANY INFO I CAN GET FROM YOU FELLOW POWERSTROKERS WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED. WHAT IS THE FIRST THING THAT MOST PEOPLE DO TO THE TRUCKS AND WHAT IS YOUR THOUGHTS ON THE C6 WHICH WILL BE A REVERSE MANUAL VALVE BODY DUE TO NO VAC FOR MODULATOR. THANKS JAMIE
