Forum Is A Life Saver
Just discovered and joined forum today. Already saved myself a trip to the Ford dealership and at least a couple of hundred bucks. Was having trouble with not being able to get the auto trans to shift into park on my 2000 F250 7.3. Could not start engine without placing shift lever to neutral. After searching forum for info, found comments about possible adj where cable to trans is attached to the steering column. Upon investigation did not find adjust for cable there but did discover that the star head bolts which attach the cable assemble to the steering column were begining to loosen. After retightening the bolts trans can be shifted to park and the engine can be started in the park position. Thanks forum for at least pointing me in the right direction and saving me several hundred bucks I'm sure.
