99 7.3 manual transmission were ya put the ATF in at for the cooler
OK OK
I know this is a dumb ? to ask but this is my first 7.3 i just rebuilt the engine and that went very well as it was way cool doing it...BUT (call me dumb) i never seen a cooler on a manual transmission before and when i was taking things apart it had atf in it so i read the book and it showed that what it was filled with ...so were do i fill it back up at....were is the atf level at? is it what the manual transmission is filled with? There's a plug in the drivers side of the trans anout half way up from yhe bottom. Square hole that takes a 3/8 drive ratchet. Fill it up through there with a pump that fits in the trans fluid bottle. Available at most parts houses. Full mark is even with the bottom of that hole.
Or if you still have the shifter off you can fill it through the top of the tyranny. Either way works. Sent from my Autoguide iPhone app |

It will pump itself through the cooler. Run it for a few miles and recheck the level.
