Hooked on phonics, weak comeback...considering I have proper spelling and grammar, and can read and interpret pretty well. Here's an example:
The general idea of what you said: The 6.0 is more powerful, so it's gonna have a higher rate of failure. It is "faster and has more horsepower" than the 7.3.
That's the picture you drew, and that is ludicrous to say of a factory tuned truck. It had issues to begin with, there is absolutely no doubting that. Even when chipped, it should have taken it without a high rate of major failures like the 7.3 did but as we all know a lot of them did not.

I used a broker to find my 2003 7.3L in 2005. I knew what I wanted, and I knew I was not going to find it in California. I wasn't interested in a 4WD, and most of the CC / SB F250's here are 4WD. I don't know why, most of them are driven by "drug store cowboys" and the truck will never see more than 5% off road miles. But, the broker found me the truck in Texas, checked it out and I bought it sight unseen.

That's a good way to do it. I got lucky and found one in town for a smokin deal at the time, and it had all the options and features that I needed. When I bought my Ram I was even more picky and didn't like what was in town here.

its a nice feelin to now that i dont have to worry about my head gaskets blowin out or my egr cooler blowin up. the 7.3 would out live a 6.0 period its not that it makes more power its just a better designed engine. a smaller motor makin more power thats stupid. all ford did was put 10 pounds of crap in a 5 pound bag when they design the 6.0.which one would hold more power a big block or a small block of coarse the bigger motor thats what its designed for. sorry im ranting im just a diehard 7.3 fan

We ordered our 03 450 just before the cutoff date came. The dealer tried to push us into waiting, but why wait when we knew what we liked. I'm glad we did! This truck has been great. It was rated at 275 (according to the dealer) and has had the simple mods done to it from the beginning. It pulls great and has never given any problem. Just yesterday it brought a 20k pound tractor/gooseneck back to TN from middle KY. I never got passed by any loaded truck coming 300 miles. It pulled the mountains at 65 mph and the lowlands at 75 with ease.
As for the 6.0's having more power, we have been down that road too. I have pulled side by side with our other 6.0's with this 03 7.3. Similar loads with similar driving habits and they couldn't hang with it. Empty, they would smoke it. But, what's a Superduty really built for? Hauling if you ask me.

My dad and I dont hate me for this talked to a dodge dealer guy up above columbia sc, and I told the guy that I had a 99 f-250 7.3 diesel and the guy said that even the dodge dealers dont even like dealing with the 6.0 and that he would trade with a 7.3 anyday. I like the way the 6.0 sounds like a jet tho lol

If your theory was true, then every newer engine would have issues like the 6.0 did, and that's just not the case. 6.4 is doing pretty well, but has been much less problematic than 6.0's.

Sounds like fun! I own a small painting and drywall business. Most of my work is painting though. Interior/exterior, mostly residential but I've done a little commercial as well. Sounds like you got it covered, but if you need any tips let me know.
so when do ya wanna hire me? even part time will work for me...
