I have over 300k on my 7.3 with the stock transmission. thinking about overhauling the engine and transmission and was wondering if I want to beef up my tranny while I am at it. I carry a 4k lb truck camper and sometimes tow a boat or trailer. I have hauled at times 28 ft metal boats from Louisianna and this past summer towed a 35 ft fiberglass boat from Fla to RI.

Where can I learn about transmissions. Thanks

Why overhaul a $10,000 motor if it doesnt need it.

IF you want to beef the tranny, get a good TC, VB and bigger tranny cooler and call it a day. half-1/3 the price of a different tranny.
