As for you actual question, the gasket is reusable. If there is no damage, keep it. Inspect the connections for burn marks though. If everything looks good, it is okay to put back on.

When I replaced my glow plugs, I tried ordering OEM gaskets and harnesses. The Ford parts guy recommended getting the valve cover gasket kit from NAPA and told me thats what they use unless the customer requests OEM.
The kit was about $75 per side and included the gasket, under valve cover wiring harness and a pigtail with the outside plug.
