cold start troubles.

ok i have a 99 7.3 when it gets under 40* my truck has a hard time starting. started doing this last year it wouldnt start the next morning unless i plugged it in at night. so this year comes around ive plugged it in the past 3 nights and its like i never even plugged it in at all. takes like 20 mins to get it started. .

Hmm well start by checking your glow plug relay. Its on the front top of engine passenger side. Should have 12 volts on one large post from battery and after you cycle key to wait to start light you should have 12 on opposite large post.

k i will try that tomorrow. and another thing that happens after the wait to start light goes away when i am cranking it over the wait to start light will start flashing when i am cranking it over.

Hmm make sure your batteries are up to snuff and fully charged also.
