3 mod questions

Has anyone Bought a High Pressure oil crossover line from dieselsite?
Does is help anything? ( this is going on a 7.3l)

Does anyone use the 203* thermostat he offers? Any differance?

And has anyone done the Air Intake Heater Plug?

I have orders a Overboost elimanator form them and seen these other
parts on there. They have lots of great stuff on there. i just don't want to
spend good money on stuff i can save on for other great stuff.

I'm sure these parts are not performance gainers but maybe will help overall engine longevity.

one other thing I will throw in Why go to a 4 or 5" exhaust when your not changing your headers? The Headers can only flow so much right?

Thanks

I have done the AIH plug with the boost fitting for my boost gauge. I have heard the 203 degree thermostat can provide a slight mileage increase.

Supposedly the crossover helps smooth engine idle...

the AIH delete is a common place to put in a boost fitting so you don't have to tap a line... you can find the plugs at a plumbing store. Will be cheaper.

as far as headers -- headers don't gain you ANYTHING on a diesel for the amount you have to spend on them. Remember -- the outlet on the turbo is where you exhaust is leaving the vehicle and by opening the downpipe up allows the exhaust gas to flow more freely. So a 4" turbo back system is VERY helpful.

I have no idea about the thermostat...

Ok on the headers thing, take a garden hose and then hook it to a water pump and make the exit hose a fire hose, you can only get out as much water as the garden hose will pump in, see my point? Do stk headers flow more than enough to handle a 4" exhaust or are you throwing a hot dog down a hallway? (strange medifore I know)

I got the oil crossover line and didnt notice anything different in the way it runs. I also shimmed the FPR and I think it made a differance in the throttle response. I did notice a big differance when I went to the 4" DP and 5" straight pipe turned out right where the cab and the box meet.
