Dockboy is the only one that has really come close... But it was on spray... and a Dodge can do 800 on fuel relatively easy...

O and a Duramax won the whole competition.
Hey, that 6sec 1/4 miler mentioned in DP magazine this month is putting out 1,400 hp! The 7.3 has lots of potential

Yes it is. Hey scuffy, why don't you pick up a core and start building it into a rocket. That way you can have the use of your SD and take your time tricking out the core engine. I'm seriously thinking of doing something like that. If common rail injection is now available for a psd these engines will start really kicking butt.

Im curious...even if a common rail kit came out for these engines does that include a new ECU to control it? Or new program

why wouldn't the old one work? All it does is send the electronic signal to fire the injectors right? If a kit comes out your gonna see some changes for sure.

If I recall correctly newer common rail injection systems inject fuel at multiple points in the cycle. I know they do this to make the engine quieter. I also thought the ECU's using common rail control the rail pressure and other variables for optimum fuel mixture....but maybe you're right...it might not be needed. Maybe its only getting the hardware to work and the stock ECU can control it. Hope someone can chime in on this.
