less than that. With simple math it would be around $20k-$25k.

It seems to me that making power out of our trucks compared to the others is like modifying a european sports car compared to domestics. $20k will get u one really serious mustang or camaro but it will only get u a bmw with exhaust, cams, tune, intake and some suspension.

Yup... for the first motor... then you start building the second... There is a reason Dockboy went CR... There is a reason Unbroken went CR... Its just a better motor...

A 7.3 will live a long time at 400-450... anything above that is a guessing game. A 5.9 will live a long time at 600-650.... Which one would you pick....

Now that you put like that, you are absolutely correct Joe. I have $12K into mine plus another $5K in the tranny. And Now I have started building fully built lower to put in by next pulling season. My goal is 550hp for a daily driver. If I can not get it with my current sticks and turbo then I will live with what it makes. But I will not sacrifice the ability to tow and right now it tows better than any truck I have ever driven including my brothers cummins.

DO is in its own league. With way more money in it than most of us make in a year. That truck is "just awesome"(in best Jeff foxworthy voice)

I'm not bashing... Just want people to realize the 7.3 will never be the HP king... Its a great motor, and the best workhorse of the bunch... but she is not built for hp...
