Fuel Pump Time

Recently I've heard a squeeking or chirping noise coming from the general area of my fuel pump. It's most noticeable at a 40 mph cruise, and stops when I let off the loud pedal.
So, I thought I'd start checking prices on a replacement fuel pump, moost likely a Motorcraft. Well, I hit the internet and began shopping and found some severe price differences. They range from $258.15 to $413.99. All for the same new Motorcraft pump. No reman's or rebuilts, just new.
Anyway, I'll find the one I want, and make the change. What special tools are needed for the job? Or, is it just a straight change out? Is there a thread I didn't find in my search?

Napa wants $211 for a stock replacement. Inlinefuelpumps.com has replacement pumps. The pump is $120 and the other parts run about $35 shipped. You can also upgrade to a high flow pump for future mods. Take a look here for some more info about this pump and company: Fuel pump ideas? - Page 2 - Powerstroke Nation

The tool need is just a fuel line removal tool available at any parts store.

Keep Strokin'

Thanks, there's plenty on the market. I just need to decide which to buy. I guess my next question is: do I want to improve flow, filtering and water separation too? Or do I just want to do a direct replacement. Future mods are certainly a consideration. Since a DP Tuner is in my future, and I tow much of the time, I really need to think about a Walbro System.
