Yes you will get more power with these upgrades. But at the cost of these items I think you could do other things first to gain the same if not more power for less cost. Like a combination of intake, exhaust, and a chip which all would run you less then the cost of the turbo alone.

Also I don't think you would see the gains you are hoping with out at least the aftermarket intake and exhaust. Yes you will see power gains if you are running the stock intake and exhaust. But the amount of air the turbo will be wanting to move needs to go somewhere. As well as the turbo needs to be fed the air to make power. So if your running the restricted intake and restricted exhaust I suggest you upgrade these as well.

The only reason I make this statement is because you did not state what else is done to the truck.

Are you talking about the Garrett Ball bearing GTP38R turbo? Besides the poweroutput the main thing is how much better will his powerband be? With ball bearing cartridge won't that thing spool up a lot faster then the laggy stock turbo? I think that turbo supports almost 500HP?

By the way I was reading the ATS aurora 2000 hits full boost like 4-5 seconds faster then stock. But I dont think they make it for the 99-03

There's a 99 std. cab 6 spd. running around and I know the guy. He did his own custom reburn and I believe he has a garrett BB...from what I've heard he starts boosting up at 1300 RPMS
