Wink Banks Big head waste gate?!?!?!?!

Can anyone tell me more about it? I am in the market for a new aftermarket waste gate. I have a 99- 7.3, it does not seem to hold the boost as long as it should. Input would be greatly appreciated!

How much boost are you getting now?

The big head wastegate is ok. I thinnk the quick turbo housing would be really nice, and with the upgraded compressor wheel, you'd have a nice, cool boost charge with a little less backpressure.

Waste Gate ?????

Describe What You Have Going On... You Might Want To Run It By A Shop That Has A Scanner Tell To Pull Up Pids For Mgp, Ipr, Icp, Mfdes And Let Me Know What They Are With Your Foot Down... If You Arent Showing Alot Of Boost Which Will Be Mgp- You Will Probably Need A Turbo Pedestal... What Happens Is The Pedestal Cannot Keep The Wastegate Closed To Build Boost... And Before You Do All That Let Me Ask You Dont Have A Dirty Air Filter Right... That Can Hurt Boost Levels More Than You Think... Ive Been Certified To Work On Power Strokes Since 1998 And Was Working On Them Before That... So If You Ever Have Any Questions Give Me A Yell... Ive Been At A Lorge Ford Dealer Since 1997, So I Know My Way Around Them More Than Most...

just curious here, the butterfly valve actuator is run through th pedestal, but the wastegate actuator is up top, off the pedestal, run by just the red boost line and the solonoid that dumps the pressure back into the intake throught the green hose when the wastegate is closed.....so...

My question is, how can the pedestal controll the wastegate if it has no controll features connecting it....

I have one on my 2000 7.3 and love it. I also added a boost tube to eliminate turbo surge.
