Found it for ya, this might be helpful except our tach feed will be hooked up.

Theres a white/pink strip wire coming from the ECM harness..dead-ends anout 6-8" into the harness...as the Diesel God would have it..its a tach feed straight from the PCM. I've been looking at any number of things to help with mileage and power but theres just nothing out there for the E series. In my most humble opinion, get the guages and call Jody at DP Tuner for a 3 pos chip. Best move I ever made. BTW...if you need a pod for tyhose guages, I still have an extra. fits on the dash just about over the heater controls. Made for 3- 2 1/16 guages and a 2 5/8" tach.

Sweet...thanks Dave. Though, I'm not looking for having a 5" Ricer Tach in the truck taking up all sorts of room. I was just going to use a light and mount it out of the way. I guess I don't need to get the GRM Pickup now, since the stock tach wire will work.

I'm not sure if you need the adapters or not, it says it just needs the tach feed on the website but I dunno, try it out and see.

Got any particular places you want to put the light? Near the factory gauge cluster?

Yeah...I was thinking of either putting it on the column or on the cluster surround. I'm actually thinking of going with the MSD stuff. The GMR Pickup just clips onto one of the powerwires for one of the injectors and then plugs into the light. The light is programable so I think it will work.
