power window clicking in the fuse panel???

I was having a problem with driver's side power window. Intermittently working and then stopped all together, all the while when you hit the switch to activate driver's side window you can hear a clicking inside the dash. changed relay- no more clicking but window still wont work. changed entire motor assembly and put old relay back in- intermittent again and controls are reversed but will only go down. Put now relay in- no clicking and window wont run at all. I have read all the threads on here about power windows and none of them mention any kind of noise in the fuse panel, i dont think anyway, words started blurring together. any help would bed greatly appreciated . By the way, its a 2000 F250 7.3 PSD. Thanks
